Reboot!!

Hey y'all. 

Becca here, and it's been a long, long, long time. I really want to get back into blogging. So, here is my attempt. My problem is that as soon as I sit down and want to type something up, I can't figure out what to write about. Now that I have Harper, maybe it won't be as hard to find thing to blog about! She definitely keeps us on our toes!

Harper is 15 months now, which is crazy! She is into everything. Her favorite things right now would be playing outside, carrying her shoes around the house, reading books, and climbing on the couch. I love her so much!

So, here is to rebooting this blog. Hopefully soon I can redesign it, because let's face it, it looks bad! Ha!

Third trimester

Well, it has been a while, once again. Haha. Classic Becca.

I am 32 weeks pregnant now! 8 weeks and counting until we meet Harper!!!!

I am kind of freaking out. Bryan is so excited, he can't stand it.

Well, when my third trimester started, I figured I would get tired again, but man, not THIS tired. It hit me like a brick wall! Back pain started not too long after. But luckily, it is only on one side and it is easily bearable.

We finally got our crib up! I will take a picture once we get the crib mattress in. (it will be delivered to our house on Wednesday!)

Harper, we can't wait to meet you. You are so loved already.

Baby Girl!! And other updates!

Well, I guess it has been a little bit since I wrote on my blog. We found out we are having a girl! We could not be more excited! Here she is in all of her ultrasound glory:

I think we have a name chosen, but until we are 100% positive, I will keep it off the internet world. But seriously, we can't wait to meet her. I mean, she needs to stay in my belly longer, but we are so excited!!

Other updates, for a few months, Bryan was working as a Stand-In for the ABC show Nashville. So basically, he stands in for the main actor while they fix the lighting and camera stuff. He originally was only doing it 2 or 3 times a week, but then they fired all the other stand-ins, except him, and 3 other people. So then it became his full time job. He really enjoyed it because he was part of the crew, got to meet/work with the actors in the show, and got to eat gourmet meals every day! But, the hours became way to much. He was working 70-75 hours a week, and was not getting paid enough for it. So he quit and his last day was 2 weeks ago. It was a hard decision because he really enjoyed what he did, but the cons definitely outweighed the pros. Here is his cool crew card:

Anyways, time has been moving crazy fast! But I thought I would do a little blog update!

Out of the first trimester and into the second!!

Today, I am 14 weeks and 4 days pregnant! I am in my second trimester! Woo hoo!

I can't believe I am 1/3 of the way done with my pregnancy and 1/3 of the way closer to meeting our sweet little baby!

I consider myself lucky when it came to my first trimester! I only threw up once the whole time! I did feel nauseous pretty much all day though. Which in turn, made me not want to do anything, and just lay around all day. 

We find out the sex of the baby on September 9th, and we could not be more excited! Bryan thinks we will have a girl. I don't have any clue, but we will find out soon! 

On finding out you're pregnant

So, Bryan and I decided last year that we were going to try to get pregnant in February of this year. And we were pretty excited about it.

Well, we went on our trip to the beach in May and on the second to last day of our trip, I realized I was late. We got home and a few days later we bought some pregnancy tests.

I took one and the line was super faint, so I didn't really think I was pregnant. The next morning, I took another one, and the same thing, just a really really faint line. Well, I still wasn't convinced, so that weekend we took a digital test, and saw the words Pregnant on the test.

I guess that is when I really believed it.  Ha, I guess you can say I was a little skeptical. (Bryan was probably less skeptical than me)Haha. We were SO happy!!!!!!

So I called my OBGYN and scheduled my first appointment and went in on June 11th! I was super nervous, probably more so for getting blood drawn (I hate needles), but also for seeing our baby and making sure it was healthy!!

So, I thought I was 7 weeks at that point, but I only measured 6 weeks 1 day.

Okay, you can barely see the baby, but it was there! We could see the heart pumping and everything!! It truly was an amazing sight!

So yesterday, we went in for our second appointment. I am 11 weeks now!! I was hoping for another picture of the baby, but we don't get another ultrasound until September.

We did get to hear the baby's heartbeat, and that was AMAZING! It was the first time we got to hear it, and it made our day!

I still can't get over the fact that a human is growing inside me. Like, there is another beating heart in me....

Babies seriously are miracles. I am so grateful that Bryan and I are on this journey and that we are soon to be parents! Being a mom is basically all I have ever wanted to do, and I can't wait to meet this baby!

Beach post...that's really late.

So, I never really said much about our beach trip, other than it was lovely. And it was! We went from May 15th-22nd.

But, Bryan and I drove down to Gulf Shores, AL from good ole Nolensville, TN! It's about a 7.5 hour drive! We stayed in this awesome Condo on the beach that my dad's work partner owns, so we got an amazing deal on it!! We only had to pay the cleaning fee, which was like $130!

We stayed at the beach for a week and just relaxed and had so much fun!! Bryan and I under our umbrella we brought!

We went to this awesome restaurant where they throw rolls at you from across the room. The cups they give you are HUGE, and here is an example:

Anyways, we had a lot of fun, and it was a great week!

I love the beach. And I love spending time with my husband there. It's truly lovely.
